Chad Finchum to Make NextGen Debut with MBM Motorsports at Nashville

For the first time since Fall 2021, Chad Finchum will compete in the NASCAR Cup Series, returning to MBM Motorsports to pilot the No. 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway.

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Finchum will make his first on-track laps in NASCAR’s seventh-generation racecar when. the field takes to the 1.33-mile facility for practice on Saturday.

Sponsorship for the effort will come from Cooper & Hunter, a leading HVAC player that is dedicated to technological innovation and consumer-driven product development, generating HVAC equipment that adheres to the highest quality standards, providing reliable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective air conditioning solutions.

“I am excited for the challenge of returning to the NASCAR Cup Series along with my first start in the Next Gen car,” driver Chad Finchum said. “Having partners like Cooper&Hunter and Land Loan TN behind me to grow with MBM Motorsports is special, and I hope that we can give them something to cheer about on Sunday.”

Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Nashville is the continuation of a part-time campaign for MBM Motorsports at NASCAR’s top-level in 2024, having had Timmy Hill, David Starr, BJ McLeod, and now Finchum behind the wheel of the team’s entry. Josh Bilicki is set to pilot the No. 66 Ford Mustang next weekend at the Chicago Street Course.

“The entire team at Cooper&Hunter has been amazing to grow with,” team owner Carl Long said. “We began our relationship with them in Miami last year and are expanding their involvement with Chad and the team this season.”

Also jumping on board as a sponsor for Finchum at Nashville is Land Loan TN, which provides loans with convenient and easy terms for Tennessee landowners. The company are a private lending organization offering bridge loans with flexible terms and specifically tailored for raw land assets.

Finchum will hit the track with his No. 66 Cooper & Hunter / Loan Loan TN Ford Mustang Dark Horse for practice and qualifying on Saturday, June 29, before competing in the event on Sunday, June 30 at 3:30 pm ET.
