Bubba Wallace, who is in the midst of a four-race top-10 finish streak, will continue on as a driver for 23XI Racing for years to come as the 28-year old driver has signed a multi-year extension with the team.

For Wallace it’s a relief to have his new contract finalized.

“It feels great to get this renewal done and to know I have a home at 23XI Racing,” said Wallace in a press release. “Thanks to M.J. and Denny for continuing to believe in me. We’ve come a long way together in less than two years and we’ve checked off some major goals along the way – including the team’s first win and first pole. We know we still have work to do, both on and off the race track, but I feel good about our team and the direction we’re heading.”

While the contract extension is big for Wallace, it’s equally as massive for the race team as Wallace, the team’s inaugural driver, has really started to blossom.

“Bubba was a key part of the early stages of 23XI, and I am thrilled that he will continue with the team,” said 23XI Racing Co-Owner Denny Hamlin. “When we announced Bubba as our first driver the goal was to help him take his career to a higher level, and we have done just that. Bubba and the No. 23 team earned the organization our first win and first pole award, and with a career-best four consecutive top-10 finishes heading into Richmond this weekend, Bubba is continuing to get more competitive each week. We’re excited to see his growth as he and the team work toward achieving our goals.”

Wallace, who has one-career NASCAR Cup Series win, has recorded a career-high four top-five finishes and six top-10s this year. Wallace also scored his first-career pole a week ago at Michigan International Speedway on his path to a runner-up finish in the FireKeepers Casino 400.

With his signing, Wallace will officially stick with 23XI Racing as the team welcomes Tyler Reddick for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Kurt Busch, who is currently on the mend following concussion-like symptoms, has also stated that he has a ride with the team as long as he wants to stay.

If Busch opts to return in 2024, it appears the organization will need to bump to three cars to keep all of the drivers in house.
