The good news just keeps coming for Bubba Wallace and Richard Petty Motorsports. On Friday, the driver of the No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro announced on NBC’s Today a brand-new multi-year deal with DoorDash, the mobile app that delivers food from restaurants to users.

DoorDash is a company based in San Francisco, CA and was created in 2013.

According to Wallace, the company will be featured as the primary sponsor on his No. 43 machine for seven races in 2020 and he is ready to deliver on the track for the company.

“The DoorDash symbol is synonymous with speed and technology and that’s what Richard Petty Motorsports intends to deliver with our No. 43 DoorDash Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE,” Wallace said.

For DoorDash, this was a unique opportunity to connect with the racing community.

“This partnership enables us to engage with the racing community through one of the most exciting and forward-thinking athletes in the sport,” Tony Xu, DoorDash chief executive officer and co-founder, said in a release. “We’re proud to support an ambassador like Bubba with on-track excellence and off-track commitments and values that are so well aligned with ours.”

According to a press release from Richard Petty Motorsports, the new paint scheme will debut this weekend at the Daytona International Road Course.

The red DoorDash colors will also adorn the No. 43 car at Dover International Speedway, Richmond Raceway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Martinsville Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.

This is the latest in a long line of recent sponsorship announcements for Wallace. Since the coronavirus break, Wallace has announced deals with CashApp and Columbia Sportswear. Now, he adds DoorDash, and he still has something bigger in the works that he hinted to at Michigan International Speedway.

Wallace has also admitted that he has been offered additional stake of ownership if he is to stay at Richard Petty Motorsports for next season and he has confirmed that Chip Ganassi Racing has also offered him their No. 42 machine for 2021.

This has been a huge year of growth for the career of the 26-year old driver, who is looking to leverage himself into a more competitive situation in 2021 and beyond.

Wallace, an Alabama-native, sits 20th in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings after 22 races this season. He has had a great year on the track as he has recorded four top-10 finishes (matching his total in 76-previous career starts before 2020), nine top-15s (previous best in a season was five) and an average finish of 19.5 (on pace for best of career).
