Following the seemingly abrupt departure of Drew Blickensderfer – who will re-unite with Aric Almirola at Stewart-Haas Racing in 2022 — Front Row Motorsports has named their newest NASCAR Cup Series crew chief.

Blake Harris – a former car chief at Joe Gibbs Racing — will be calling the shots for the 2021 Daytona 500 winner, Michael McDowell, as he looks to earn the second consecutive playoff berth for Front Row Motorsports.

“Blake has proven to be championship leader who is ready to take McDowell and our No. 34 team to the next level,” said Jerry Freeze, General Manager, Front Row Motorsports. “He’s young but has a wealth of knowledge and experience with one of the best teams in the NASCAR Cup Series. He played a key role in wins and a championship. Blake is the type of person we want to help us continue to contend.”

Harris will begin his duties as crew chief immediately, accompanying the organization to the Next Gen tests at Daytona International Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.
