John Hunter Nemechek will carry one of the most unique primary sponsorships/paint schemes in the history of the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as his No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB Toyota Camry XSE will be a billboard for the iconic boy-band the Backstreet Boys.

The band, which is promoting its “Into The Millennium” residency that begins July 11 at The Sphere in Las Vegas, will have its logo, and all five of its bandmates on the hood of Nemechek’s No. 42 blue race car for the race weekend.

While Nemechek, 27, wasn’t born when the band’s debut album Backstreet Boys dropped in 1996, and was a baby when the band’s second studio album Backstreet’s Back hit store shelves in 1997, the driver is elated to have the legendary band on his LEGACY MOTOR CLUB machine this weekend.

“I’m beyond excited to have the Backstreet Boys on board our Toyota Camry for Las Vegas,” Nemechek said in a team press release. “Their music is legendary, and to have them represented on our car is really special. Hopefully, we can put on a great show and take this ride to Victory Lane—because as they say, ‘I want it that way!’

Jimmie Johnson, co-owner of LEGCAY MOTOR CLUB, says he is excited to have the partnership with Live Nation and Vibee, which helped bring the team’s Guns N’ Roses car to life in 2023, and the Backstreet Boys car in the upcoming Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas.

“We’re thrilled to work with Live Nation and Vibee, and bring partners known for creating best-in-class fan experiences, to the NASCAR stage,” said Johnson. “We had successful campaigns with Guns N’ Roses and Creed in the past, and Backstreet Boys will be just as fun. The No. 42 Toyota Camry looks really cool and we can’t wait for fans to see the Backstreet Boys represented on track.”

Nemechek, who ranks 13th in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings after four races in the 2025 season, has been one of the pleasant surprises early in the year. The North Carolina native has already racked up his first-career NASCAR Cup Series top-five finish, a fifth-place run in the season-opening Daytona 500, two top-10s, and three top-15 finishes heading into the fifth race of the season.

The No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB driver and team have a very stout chance at becoming the NASCAR Cup Series’ most-improved group in 2025 as the pairing finished 34th in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship standings.
