Can you believe Alex Bowman looked to be on the hotseat coming into the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season? The driver of the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro picked up his fourth Stage Win of the season as he powered to the Stage 2 win Thursday in the Alsco Uniforms 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Bowman has now picked up more Stage wins than any other driver so far in 2020.

Ryan Blaney finished second in the Stage, while Joey Logano, Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top-five finishers in Stage 2.

Kurt Busch was sixth, but he was followed by a slew of drivers who are having unexpected great races.

Austin Dillon finished seventh ahead of rookies John Hunter Nemechek and Christopher Bell in eighth and ninth and Bubba Wallace in 10th.

Thursday’s race has certainly surpassed the excitement of Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 as there have already been 11 changes of the lead, and there have been wild moments on the track, such as a four-wide battle which resulted in a cut tire for Kyle Busch in Stage 2.
