Update: Hacker has returned to the race.

Chris Hacker’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut did not go as smoothly as anticipated thanks to an issue with his No. 34 Tundra.

His Tundra was pushed to the garage just 16 laps into Friday’s event. Hacker’s PR team reported an oil line failure was identified as the issue.

After rolling off 31st, the Indiana driver fell back at first but managed to climb up to 32nd before coming to pit road with the issue.

The 21-year-old understandably was incredibly excited for his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut, posting to social media shortly before the race his appreciation for his fans.

Hacker is currently listed in 38th place finish and is expected to return per Knight.
