The sponsorship puzzle for the Hendrick Motorsports No. 88 Chevrolet team looks a lot clearer today than it did a day ago. The team announced on Wednesday that they have reached a 26-race deal with a few of Chevrolet’s Accessories partners to be the primary sponsor for Alex Bowman in 2020.
According to the press release, Adam’s Polishes, NOCO and Truck Hero will rotate primary sponsorship on the No. 88 car throughout the season.
“NASCAR fans take pride in their vehicle ownership,” said Jim Campbell, Chevrolet’s U.S. vice president of performance and motorsports. “With Chevrolet Accessories, customers can personalize and enhance the appearance, performance and capability of their Chevy. We’re pleased some of our key partners like Adam’s Polishes, NOCO and Truck Hero are teaming with Hendrick Motorsports to promote these great accessories.”
The HMS release also noted that Valvoline will return to the No. 88 team for a total of four races in 2020, including the Busch Clash and the season-opening Daytona 500.
Bowman, and admitted gear head, is excited for his new partnerships.
“Cars are a huge part of my life,” Bowman said. “If I’m not racing, I’m working on my own cars and trying different ways to personalize and upgrade them. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Valvoline brand and have an awesome relationship there, so I’m really proud to have them on board for Speedweeks. I also can’t imagine a better fit than bringing Chevrolet Accessories to our 2020 program, and I’m pumped about working with Adam’s Polishes, NOCO and Truck Hero. All of our No. 88 team partners are right up my alley, and I’m ready for a big season.”
Bowman now has all 38 races in 2020 accounted for from a sponsorship perspective. Chevrolet Accessories will be on board for 26 races, Valvoline will be there for four races, Axalta and Llumar will each serve as the primary for three races and Cincinnati Inc. will be on the car for two events.

Read the whole article just to find out what “Chevy Accessories” meant. Thanks
Obviously the bloom is off the Hendrick rose if they are having to rely on Chevalay to fill their sponsor panels.
