When Kyle Busch rocketed to the pole for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series LS Tractor 200 at Phoenix Raceway, many expected to see an old fashioned KB Show. That didn’t happen, as Brandon Jones pulled off an upset as he chased down Busch for the lead and passed him with 20-laps to go.

Jones wouldn’t look back and took his second-career NASCAR Xfinity Series win.

However, it was never really a Kyle Busch runaway all day long.

Busch failed to lead the opening nine laps of the race from the pole. He also didn’t win Stage 1 or 2 during the day. Saturday was a day, where the Xfinity Series regulars showcased their muscle.

Down the final 20 laps of the race, Busch faded and finished third, as Harrison Burton — who grabbed his first-career Xfinity Series win a week ago at Auto Club Speedway — worked around him for the runner up spot.

Busch would hang on to finish third, while fellow NASCAR Cup Series star Brad Keselowski finished a quiet fourth.

Justin Haley finished fifth in the Kaulig Racing No. 11 car.

Chase Briscoe, Noah Gragson, Austin Cindric, Ross Chastain and Riley Herbst rounded out the top-10 finishers on the day.

Justin Allgaier, who finished 13th, won Stage 1, while Gragson won Stage 2.
