While we’re only six races into the 2023 ARCA Menards Series Season, it’s already time to talk silly season, and this conversation kicks off with a big name.

Frankie Muniz is off to a solid and consistent start in his ARCA career. After Saturday night’s ARCA 200 at Berlin Raceway, the rookie now has five top-10s in a row. His worst finish on the season is an 11th-place effort in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

The Ridgewood, NJ native and his No. 30 Rette Jones Racing team have shown that they are contenders for top fives week in and week out. However, it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows in racing.

During the FS1 broadcast of Saturday’s race at Berlin on Fox Sports 1, Phil Parsons revealed that Muniz and the team are still looking for sponsors to run the full-time 2023 ARCA Menards Season.

Currently, the 37-year-old sits second in the point standings, just 20 points back of Jesse Love, who has won three of the last four races. Muniz was also leading the standings for a time before the Venturini Motorsports No. 20 team hit their hot streak.

While the rest of their 2023 season might be up in the air, it sounds like Muniz will be back behind the wheel for sure in 2024.

After the race, he confirmed on Twitter that he “will 100% be racing next year.” He added that they are still finalizing ‘what and where’ for the 2024 season.

Muniz was able to tie his career-best in the ARCA Menards Series on Saturday night with a sixth-place finish on the 7/16th-mile track, his first short track start of the season.

“I can’t be disappointed with a sixth-place finish. It ties my career best, but at the same time, I’m extremely disappointed. I was really hoping to break into the top five…I’m happy though. The car’s in one piece and excited for next week,” Muniz said post-race.

Muniz and the Rette Jones Racing No. 30 team will be back on track this weekend at Elko Speedway on Saturday night.
