After what looked to be a dominant race and run for Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18, it was a late-race move for Connor Mosack and Pinnacle Racing Group after a restart to tidy up the Tide 150 and take his second career win in the ARCA Menards Series at Kansas Speedway.

This also marks his second win at Kansas. His first came last fall, ironically driving the No. 18 Toyota.

“This one means a lot. Obviously, being able to do it back to back here with two different teams and a family team. It means a lot. I see how hard the guys work. I’m just proud of this group,” the two-time winner said post-race.

Mosack will be looking to double down today as he starts fifth in tonight’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in the Spire Motorsports No. 7.

While it was all smiles for Mosack, it was a tough mess for Tanner Gray to finish second after leading 83 of the 100 laps.

“I just made a bad lane decision and let him get to us. Once he was by us, I was just kind of too tight to be able to get back to him. I felt like I could match his pace, but couldn’t really do much to get there,” he rebuttled.

“I didn’t do a good enough job to be sitting in victory lane,” Gray added.

He’ll look for redemption as well in tonight’s Truck Series race as he starts 17th in that event.

Fellow Truck Series driver Dean Thompson was able to sneak home in third, with Venturini Motorsports teammates Kris Wright and Jake Finch rounding out the top five.

Several drivers were able to clean up their act from Dover, including Amber Balacen who came home with her third top-10 of the season in eighth place.

Greg Van Alst also rebounded after issues in the race for 12th place.

Hometown favorite Mandy Chick also found a good run after her tough Daytona finish, coming home 15th on in one piece.

Looking to the points after Kansas, Andres Perez still holds the top of the points, now leading by six over Van Alst.

Up next, the ARCA Menards Series travels to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the General Tire 150 on May 24th at 6 PM ET.
