As the ARCA Menards Series heads into the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, team owner and former first responder Caleb Costner has a special group and a special Navy Seal.
“We did an unveiling of the Charlotte car yesterday, at a restaurant called Bubba’s 33, in Gastonia…We partnered with, the C4 Foundation, which is, which is a foundation that honors the memory of, honor, and legacy of Charles Keating IV,’ he told TobyChristie.com in an interview at his shop.
“He was a Navy Seal, and his father continues on his legacy with that foundation. And so it’s really cool to be able to work with some people that, that work to make that happen. Right, and to make that possibility,” he added.
The foundation was established by the family of Navy SEAL Charles Humphrey Keating IV who lost his life
in Iraq on May 3, 2016, helping his fellow teammates. “Charles H Keating IV – USN” will proudly be on the name rail of Costner’s No. 93 Chevy.
“When the C4 Foundation was founded by the Keating family, they set out to find needs that were not
being met in the SEAL community. Very quickly, it became apparent that there was a desperate lack of
decompression programs available for active-duty SEALs and their families. The C4 Ranch provides a
much-needed space for respite and reconnection for our SEAL operators and their families and the
F.R.O.G. Programs, coupled with our beautiful nature-based setting are providing the families with an
outlet to heal and build fortitude.” said Director of Programs, Jennifer Cooper.

“It’s just an honor to be able to get to not only race in my home track but to be able to do so in a fashion to remember and recognize honor guys that have paid the ultimate sacrifice,” Costner added.
You can catch Costner’s No. 93 Chevy live at Charlotte Motor Speedway on FS1 Friday at 6 PM EST.
