Rette Jones Racing has confirmed that Kyle Steckly will return to the organization as part of a multi-year developmental contract, which will see the Milverton, Ontario-native compete full-time in the ASA STARS National Tour and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series.
The 19-year-old will make his ARCA Menards Series debut next weekend on February 15 for the season-opening Chili’s Ride The ‘Dente 200 at Daytona International Speedway.
Steckly recently attended the ARCA Menards Series Daytona test back on January 10 alongside YouTube star, Garrett Mitchell, more famously known as Cleetus McFarland as the two split the No. 30 Ford Mustang. Mitchell is tapped to make his ARCA Menards Series debut piloting the No. 30 Ford Mustang entry for the ARCA Menards Series season-opening race at Daytona.
Steckly comes from a flourished racing background as his father, Scott Steckly, is a four-time NASCAR Canada Series champion. Scott also made one NASCAR Xfinity Series start back in 2008 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, finishing 41st in the No. 91 Chevrolet for MSRP Motorsports.
Rette Jones Racing added the ASA STARS National Tour to their motorsports resume in 2024, with Steckly behind the wheel of the No. 30. Steckly went on to win the RedBud 400 at Anderson Speedway and finished second in the championship.
“There are no words to describe how excited I am about making my ARCA Menards Series debut next weekend at Daytona.” Said Steckly in a team press release. “I think for any race car driver, their dream is to race at Daytona, and within a very short time, my dream is becoming a reality thanks to Rette Jones Racing and our excellent partners.”
Mark Rette, the co-owner of Rette Jones Racing, chimed in on his excitement about signing Steckly long-term to the organization, “We are so glad to keep Kyle under the Rette Jones Racing for years to come, Without a doubt, we believe in his ability as a race car driver, but he fits perfectly with the dynamic of our race team.”
The team has yet to announce the full schedule for Steckly in the ARCA Menards Series and hasn’t confirmed the number of the entry that he will pilot at Daytona.
The Chilli’s Ride The ‘Dente 200 at Daytona International Speedway will air live on FOX at Noon EST on Saturday, February 15.
