Just a few short weeks before 2024 kicks off for the ARCA Menards Series, and Rev Racing has announced a significant addition to their team. Daniel Johnson joins the team as the Crew Chief for the No. 6 Chevrolet, as Lavar Scott set to take the wheel for his first full-time season in the ARCA Menards Series.

Having been with the team from 2009 to 2012, Johnson brings a wealth of experience back to the team. Over three decades in the racing industry, Johnson began by changing tires and has since seen him move through the racing scene including the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Martins Motorsports, OUR Motorsports, and now ARCA Menards Series.

Johnson is eager to bring his expertise to Rev Racing’s program.

“The connection Lavar and I have formed in such a short time is promising,” he said. With the backing of Chevrolet, combined with simulator training and wind tunnel data, Johnson believes they have a real shot at contending for the championship.

“I love the opportunity to teach and simultaneously work to make these cars better and faster,” he added.

Scott is set for his rookie campaign in the ARCA Menards Series after a strong showing in 2023’s ARCA Menards Series East campaign and several national series starts that included a career-best fourth-place finish at Kansas Speedway back in the fall.

The team is also looking to regain some of their mojo after going winless in the ARCA platform in 2023. The team will have both Scott and Andres Perez gunning for the 2024 drivers and owners championship.

Johnson and Scott are set to hit the high banks of Daytona on February 17th at the Daytona ARCA 200, where they aim to make their mark on the series. You can catch their 2024 season debut live on Fox Sports 1.
