INDIANAPOLIS — Kyffin Simpson led the sole Indy NXT practice ahead of Saturday’s 35-lap race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

The No. 21 HMD Motorsports with Chip Ganassi Racing entry went around the 14-turn, 2.439-mile road course with a fastest lap of 1 minute, 15.2830 seconds. Second fastest was Hunter McElrea in the No. 27 Andretti Autosport machine and Nolan Siegel was third in the No. 39 HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing car.

There were no red flags for any off-track excursions or wall contact in the session.
