A switch of colors for Romain Grosjean as the No. 28 Andretti Autosport Honda will be coated in a green livery for this weekend’s Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Presented by Lear.

Zapata Computing, which is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, will support the 36-year-old Frenchman as he enters his seventh NTT IndyCar Series career race with Andretti and a third start at Belle Isle.

In February, the solutions company and Andretti announced a multi-million dollar deal which will span over multiple years. Zapata brings quantum-able software to the organization’s infrastructure which helps their efforts during races with advanced analytics.

From the initial release from the partnership, Michael Andretti, the Chairman and CEO of Andretti Autosport said Zapata will help his team find that edge with their IndyCar program.

“We’re excited to be working with a true leader in quantum computing through our partnership with Zapata,” Andretti said. “IndyCar racing is all about finding every possible edge and then maximizing it. Zapata’s expertise gives us that advantage through their Orquestra quantum software platform and expert scientists and engineers. The partnership is going to propel both organizations to great things this year and beyond.”

Grosjean sits 15th in the NTT IndyCar Series point standings after six events in 2022.

The Swiss-French driver has one podium finish this season, a second-place effort at Long Beach. Grosjean finished 31st in last weekend’s Indianapolis 500 after a crash on Lap 105, ended his day.
