The ratings from last Sunday’s crash fest iRacing eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series event from the virtual Bristol Motor Speedway are in. And the race actually drew a lower rating and fewer viewers than the race the week before at Virtual Texas Motor Speedway.

According to ShowBuzz Daily, Sunday’s race at Bristol secured a 0.71 rating, and generated 1.179-million viewers.

This places the virtual NASCAR race third-highest in viewership for sporting events for the week. WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown led the rankings again with a 1.48-rating and 2.398-million viewers, while the Beverly Hills Dog Show came in second with a 0.81-rating and 1.227-millions viewers.

The virtual Texas race two weeks ago had a 0.81 rating and 1.339-million viewers.

Still, even with the decline, Sunday’s Bristol race is the second-highest viewed eSport event in United States television history. NASCAR’s three Pro Invitational Series events now hold the top-three spots all-time.

The Series was expected to have a special Easter event this weekend, but Sport Business Journal’s Adam Stern reports that the idea was nixed so drivers and teams could relax during the holiday.
