After winning the ARCA Menards Series West season-opener at Phoenix, it’s been a rollercoaster of a season for Tyler Reif, and today just added to that. The 16-year-old announced that he would be joining a new team for Shasta Speedway.

Reif, who currently sits fourth in the ARCA Menards West Series standings, will be joining Central Coast Cabinets Racing to drive the No. 13 for Todd and Kelly Souza. Todd, who is a veteran of the series and just finished seventh at the ARCA race in Mid-Ohio, will step out of the car and take over a second car for the team with the No. 3 on the side.

So far, the Las Vegas native has two-top fives, and four top-tens in the 2023 ARCA West season, plus the win at the season opener. Reif sits just 21 points back of first-place Landen Lewis.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Reif would be joining Lowden-Jackson Motorsports to run the No. 41 Ford Fusion full-time on both the ARCA Menards Series West and East schedules. As of the time of this news, he has only made one East Series start at Five Flags Speedway. Reif has competed in every West Series event this season. In his last race out, he came home sixth at Irwindale Speedway.

Currently, this is just a one-race deal. Reif’s plans for the rest of the 2023 ARCA Menards racing season will be determined at a later date.

For Reif, this will be his debut at the Anderson, CA 0.375-mile paved oval. Joining him on the No. 13 team will be veteran crew chief Michael Munoz and spotter David Cooley.

You can catch the ARCA West Series back in action for the Shasta 150 on Saturday, July 29th at 11:30 PM ET/8:30 PM PT live on FloRacing.
