Parker Chase’s No. 15 Toyota Camry had a strange issue on the third lap of Friday’s ARCA Menards Series event, with the dashboard catching on fire.

Well, it only took three laps for Parker Chase’s evening to go up in flames, as an electrical fire broke out in the cockpit of the No. 15 Venturini Motorsports Toyota Camry.

Chase, who was running inside the top-10 when the fire broke out, was forced to ride around the 1.5-mile facility until he could get to pit road, where the crew attempted to put out the fire on the No. 15.

The footage from the Bounty onboard camera shows Chase’s entry on fire, which then started to disassemble – and almost looks like it was melting — the dashboard in the Venturini Motorsports entry.

Venturini Motorsports would bring the No. 15 Toyota Camry to the garage area in order to completely replace the dashboard, with Chase returning to the race seven laps behind the leaders.
