Nitro Motorsports is bringing on the 2023 NASCAR Canada Series champion, Treyten Lapcevich, to compete in the upcoming ARCA Menards Series race at Berlin Raceway, piloting the No. 46 Toyota Camry.

The announcement also revealed that Thad Moffitt, who was originally scheduled to run the full ARCA national season, will drop back to a part-time basis after a sponsorship partner withdrawal.

Moffitt, 24, was in the midst of his first full-time campaign in the ARCA Menards Series, after spending last season running part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Faction46 and Young’s Motorsports.

Following the series’ most recent event at Michigan, Moffitt sat sixth in series point standings among the 10 full-timers. Through the first six events of the season, Moffitt earned one top-five and three top-10s, including a season-best second at Talladega.

Lapcevich, a third-generation driver out of Grimsby, Ontario, as well as the defending Late Model Stock Series South Carolina 400, most recently made his ARCA Menards Series debut in March at Phoenix Raceway, after driving all the way to a third-place result in the No. 15 Toyota for Venturini Motorsports.

“I’m excited to join Nitro Motorsports and compete in the ARCA Menards Series,”  Lapcevich said in a press release. “It’s a great chance to showcase what I can do with a strong team behind me. Their results as a rookie team this season have been impressive, and I am grateful for the trust they’ve put in me. I’m ready to get to work in Berlin.”

Moffitt, who brought in several bright and strong performances for the Nitro Motorsports team, expressed his gratitude towards the team for allowing him to run for the program, as well as his excitement to continue running in select races for the rest of the year.

“I can’t thank Nitro Motorsports enough for everything we’ve accomplished so far this season,” Moffitt said. “While I’m disappointed we couldn’t continue full-time, I’m proud of what we’ve built and look forward to more opportunities together later this year. While not behind the wheel, I will be one of the biggest fans of this young but incredible program.”

It is unknown at this time what races Moffitt will run for the rest of the 2025 season, as well as if Lapcevich or other competitors will fill the role in for their No. 46 full-time entry for the final 14 races of the season.

The Berlin ARCA 200 at Berlin Raceway will air live on FS1 on Saturday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m. ET, with radio coverage provided by ARCARacing.com.
