After a hiatus from racing in the ARCA Menards Series, a champion is set to return in a big way as Mason Mitchell is set to hit the track in 2024 for two races.
Mitchell is the 2014 ARCA Menards Series champion, with that plus three wins, 24 top fives, and 44 top-10s in the series, he’s set to test the waters once more.
The W. Des Moines, IA native is set to drive the No. 23 SIGMA Performance Services, GMS Fabrication Chevy for the upcoming ARCA Menards Series West race at Irwindale on March 30th, and the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East combination race at Iowa Speedway on June 14th.

“I’ve longed to return to ARCA racing… It’s where my heart lies and has always been,” the champion said about the series.
Also joining the driver in his return is former crew chief Kevin Reed, both won at Kansas in 2015.
“I consider myself fortunate to collaborate with Joe Farré and everyone at SIGMA, and to reunite with Kevin Reed. We all share the same mindset and goals, which are to win races,” Mitchell added.
“Mason and I have been friends for over a decade…We have full faith in each other’s abilities. When we both fulfill our roles effectively, success tends to follow,” said crew chief Reed.
SIGMA Performance Services (SPS) team owner Joseph Farré spoke about his excitement to partner up with the proven winners.
“Collaborating with an experienced driver like Mason Mitchell and seasoned crew chief Kevin Reed underscores the quality and depth of our organization, equipment, and infrastructure at SPS. Without these essential components, establishing our presence and commitment to the ARCA series would be a lengthier process.”
