After the ARCA Menards Series battled it out on the massive 2-mile Michigan International Speedway, this week the series heads to the 0.686-mile Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park for some good old fashioned short track racing action!

IRP was first featured on the ARCA Menards Series schedule back in the 1971 season, in a race that was won by Ramo Stott. Stott would go on to be a 35-time race starter in the NASCAR Cup Series, who had a career-best finish of second at Talladega Superspeedway in 1972.

Chandler Smith, a mainstay in the NASCAR National Series ranks, won this event a season ago.

This week’s Reese’s 200 will mark the 12th race of the 20-race ARCA Menards Series season, and heading into the event Venturini Motorsports’ Jesse Love is feeling the momentum. Love has won the last two ARCA Menards Series events, and has captured six wins overall this year.

Entry List Notables

Lavar Scott will return to the ARCA Menards Series action in the No. 6 entry for Rev Racing. While Scott has only made two starts in the ARCA Main division this year, both starts have resulted in fourth-place finishes. Scott will look to keep the trend of solid finishes going.

D.L. Wilson returns in the No. 12 Fast Track Racing entry for the first time since a hard crash at Phoenix Raceway earlier in the season, where he was evaluated for a concussion, broken ribs, and sternum issues. Following the hard crash, Wilson stated on Facebook that he was done racing after he, “almost died,” at Phoenix, but he has ended his impromptu retirement.

Frankie Muniz, fresh off his first-career ARCA Menards Series top-five finish last week at Michigan, will look to potentially score his first-career win in the No. 30 Rette Jones Racing Ford Mustang.
