Fans will get to see Isaac Johnson’s return to the ARCA Menards Series as he gears up for the season opener at the iconic Daytona International Speedway on February 17, 2024. Johnson will pilot the #34 Ford in a second entry for Van Alst Motorsports, aligning himself with the defending race winner’s team and car owner, Greg Van Alst.

Johnson tested with the team back in January at the track.

The Martinsville, IA. native expressed admiration for Van Alst’s achievements with his local team, highlighting Van Alst’s victory at Daytona last year.

“I’ve always had a ton of respect for Greg and what he has done with his local Indiana team. Being able to see him win last year at Daytona helped show me that if he can do it… then maybe I can too. It’ll be really cool going down to Daytona as the ‘Indiana team,'” he remarked.

Van Alst spoke highly of the young driver, expressing excitement about Johnson’s debut at Daytona. “As a teammate, it’s been fun to have someone with as much passion about racing as myself. He is a genuine person and wants to see the team grow. We’re excited to see how he does at Daytona,” said defending Daytona winner Van Alst.

Johnson’s last ARCA appearance, marking his series debut in August of 2023, showcased his potential with an impressive 12th-place finish at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park driving the No. 93 for Costner Weaver Motorsports. Transitioning from racing on a .686-mile oval short track to the 2.5-mile superspeedway at Daytona presents a thrilling challenge for the 26-year-old.

“I’m super excited to get to race at Daytona! It has been a lifelong dream to get the opportunity to race there. It’s truly a dream come true, and I hope to get more opportunities like this one,” he added.

Endress+Hauser will be on Johnson’s Ford as the primary sponsor. The driver-sponsor relationship holds special significance as Johnson is a sales engineer for his day job and often collaborates with the company regularly in his professional capacity.

“It’ll be awesome having them on board at Daytona as well as having some of their employees and customers at the racetrack with us. I’m very lucky to have gotten the support of Endress+Hauser, and I’m excited to see where this relationship goes.”
