In a major Monday morning announcement, Sigma Performance Services Racing revealed its acquisition of AM Racing, which will pair the two motorsports teams with manufacturer support from Ford Racing.

In 2026, Sigma Performance Services Racing will field entries in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, the ARCA Menards Series, and the organization will run an expanded late model program. The full umbrella of the team’s motorsports endeavors will come under the Sigma Performance Services Racing team branding.

The move allows Sigma Performance Services Racing the unique opportunity to gain a higher level of manufacturer support, which should allow the race team to hit on all cylinders from its driver development program in late models and ARCA to the NASCAR National Series.

“Bringing AM Racing into the SPS Racing family is about building on momentum and unlocking our next level potential,” said Joe Farre, owner, Sigma Performance Services Racing, in a press release. “With Ford Racing behind us, we’re investing in people, data, and performance to set us up to contend right away in 2026. We’re excited for what’s ahead.”

Likewise, AM Racing is proud that the legacy it built, which led to a NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Playoff appearance with Harrison Burton behind the wheel of its No. 25 Ford in 2025, has led to this partnership, which allows the legacy to continue through Sigma Performance Services Racing.

“AM Racing has always been about work ethic, integrity, and giving racers a real shot to grow — and SPS Racing shares that DNA,” said Wade More, president and managing partner of AM Racing. “This transition ensures our mission continues — with renewed strength, expanded resources and a clear drive to win.”

The Sigma Performance Services Racing team will reveal its driver lineup, car numbers, and competition personnel in the coming weeks, along with sponsorship partners for the growing effort.

Over the last two seasons, the Sigma Performance Services Racing team has impressed in a part-time schedule in the ARCA Menards Series ranks. The team has made 18 starts since the beginning of the 2024 season, and in that 18-race span, it has collected six top-five finishes and 10 top-10s. With the move to Ford, with manufacturer support, those numbers should only improve in the ARCA ranks.

And the SPS team will have a chance to pick up where AM Racing left off in 2025 in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Last season, AM Racing recorded two top-five finishes and 10 top-10s over the 33-race schedule. Harrison Burton would end the season 12th in the championship standings. After the Playoff berth, Burton announced a move to Sam Hunt Racing for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season.
