G2G Racing will not compete in the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway, team owner Tim Viens confirmed to TobyChristie.com on Wednesday.

The team, which was founded in 2022, and started at least one truck in 11 events last season, expects to attempt to run a handful of races during the 2024 season. The organization will utilize the No. 47 during its reduced schedule this year.

To date, G2G Racing has made 31 starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series ranks and the organization has a best finish of 17th, which was achieved by Akinori Ogata at Atlanta Motor Speedway last spring.

15 different drivers have taken a turn behind the wheel of a G2G Racing truck since the team was founded at the start of the 2022 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.

Former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Johnny Sauter drove for the team in its debut race at Daytona International Speedway in 2022. Unfortunately, that race ended in a mechanical failure for Sauter, who was credited with a 34th-place finish.

Brennan Poole, who will run full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this year in the No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro for Alpha Prime Racing, has made the most starts for the G2G team as he ran 10 races with the team combined between 2022 and 2023.

G2G Racing has completed 2,550 laps in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition since its inception, and the team has an all-time average start of 31.2 and an average finish of 30.1.

As of January 24, there are 32 confirmed entries for the season-opening NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race which is scheduled for Friday, February 16 at Daytona International Speedway.
