Kyle Larson, who has won the Chili Bowl Nationals twice in his career, will return to the iconic indoor dirt midget event at the Tulsa Expo Center after skipping the event in 2023.

According to a report from FloRacing, Larson will take part in the preliminary action on Thursday.

Larson, who won the Chili Bowl in back-to-back years in 2020 and 2021 after being bitterly close for years, will run the event with Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports in the No. 98K entry. Larson will carry sponsorship from DH Horton, FloRacing, and HendrickCars.com.

The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion can lock into Saturday’s Chili Bowl Nationals Feature Event by finishing top-two in Thursday’s A-Main event. If Larson fails to do that, he can still work his way into the big show through the alphabet soup of heat races on Saturday.

If Larson does lock into the field for Saturday night’s race in Thursday’s prelim, he plans to run a double shot of dirt events on Saturday. Larson will compete at Vado Speedway Park’s Wild West Shootout in a Dirt Late Model owned by Kevin Rumley. From there, Larson would fly straight to Tulsa to compete in the 55-lap Chili Bowl Nationals Main Event.

What a turn of events.

The Chili Bowl Nationals Main Event and Preliminary action are all available to be streamed exclusively on FloRacing this year.
