Daytona Speedweeks is on the horizon, and the start of the 2024 NASCAR racing season is nearly here. As we approach the season-opening points-paying events at Daytona, we will chronicle all of the confirmed entries and potential unconfirmed entries for the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series on this page.
Confirmed 2024 Daytona 500 Entries (41 as of February 9)
As it stands on February 9, there are 41 confirmed entries for the Daytona 500, which means the first NASCAR Cup Series race of the year will have a full 40-car field at the very least.
Rick Ware Racing has named Riley Herbst, a full-timer in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, to drive the No. 15 Ford Mustang in the Daytona 500. He will be joined by fellow Xfinity Series title contender AJ Allmendinger, who will drive the No. 16 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing — the only two entries featuring multi-driver rotations in 2024.
Currently, there are five Open teams entered into the race, which include the No. 36 Front Row Motorsports team with driver Kaz Grala, the No. 60 RFK Racing team with driver David Ragan, the No. 62 Beard Motorsports team with driver Anthony Alfredo, the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports team with driver BJ McLeod, and the No. 84 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB team with driver Jimmie Johnson.

With just one week until the 2024 Daytona 500, we’re pretty much just waiting to hear about one entry to set the lineup for Speedweeks. NY Racing, owned by John Cohen, has yet to confirm whether they will be attempting to qualify for the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. Barring any surprises, the entry list will either sit at 41 or 42 entries when released.

As of February 9, there are 40 confirmed entries for the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway. Of those confirmed entries, only the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra has yet to name a driver for the United Rentals 300.
With less than one week until the season begins, there are guaranteed to be some drivers heading home from Daytona Beach, Florida before the green flag drops on Saturday. But, how many will have to make the long trip back to North Carolina? That is yet to be seen.
