Video: Zane Smith Misses Shift; Rhodes Sustains Major Damage in Stackup

There is no telling who is going to win the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship.

After issues for Corey Heim and Carson Hocevar – although somewhat self-inflicted – plus a pit stop late in the going for Grant Enfinger, and now, Ben Rhodes is now the latest Championship 4 driver to have some sort of issue.

This time, it was a missed shift by race leader Zane Smith that nearly knocked the front end off of the 2021 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion, in contact that turned around Smith, and collected others like Jack Wood.

Rhodes and Rich Lushes decided not to come down pit road, and will remain on track for a third overtime in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, without bringing the Kubota Ford F-150 to pit road.

The driver of the No. 99 was running inside the top-five at the time of the incident, and looked to clearly be the driver to take the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series title.
