Well, that’s not ideal.
With 30 laps to go in Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season-finale at Phoenix Raceway, a pair of Championship 4 drivers got into it with 30 laps to go, and it may impact Corey Heim’s shot at winning the championship.
The drivers, running in sixth and seventh place, had been battling for what would be the lead in the championship, with the No. 11 Toyota Tundra getting around Hocevar cleanly and without any contact.

As Hocevar battled back, he dove to the inside of Heim – who had been the championship leader throughout the majority of the race – before sliding the No. 42 Chevrolet up the track and into the left rear of the TRICON Garage driver.
That leaves Heim in a difficult position, as Hocevar maintains the lead in the championship, and sends the No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro to a position outside the top-20 with just a short run to the finish remaining.
