Stefan Parsons will have possibly the most competitive ride of his NASCAR National Series career as he’ll pilot the No. 25 Chevrolet Silverado for Rackley W.A.R. in the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season finale at Phoenix Raceway.

The team made the announcement in a press release, which was shared on Thursday morning.

Parsons says he’s been rendered nearly speechless at the opportunity to drive a truck, which made it into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs this season.

“It’s hard to put into words what this opportunity means to me,” said Parsons. “Curtis [Sutton, co-owner] and Willie, along with Chad [Kendrick, Crew Chief] and the entire team have built a winning playoff-caliber organization,” Parsons said in the team’s press release. “I’m honored to climb behind the wheel of the No. 25 Chevrolet Silverado and represent the Rackley Roofing and W.A.R. Shocks brands at Phoenix Raceway.”

Team president and co-owner Willie Allen states that the team selected Parsons due to the racer always being willing to do what needs to be done for the teams he has driven for.

“Stefan has always been a good friend to us and works hard at the racetrack whether he’s driving or helping crew a car or truck any given weekend,” Allen said. “He’s always willing to do what it takes to get the job done and shows a great work ethic. We’ll close out our year at Phoenix with Stefan in the seat for us.”

Matt DiBenedetto started the season as the full-time driver of the No. 25 truck, and made it into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs. However, in August, DiBenedetto announced that he would part ways with the team at the end of the season.

When DiBenedetto was eliminated from the Playoffs, the team announced that they would part ways with the driver early, which has led to the organization filling the season with an all-star cast of characters including Chandler Smith, Trevor Bayne, and Parsons.

Parsons, 25, has made 10 career starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with a best finish of 17th, which came in his series debut with Jay Robinson’s team at Bristol back in 2018.
