Kyle Larson survived a late charge from Christopher Bell to score a dominant win in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The win, Larson’s fourth of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, came by a narrow victory margin of 0.082 sec. (Click Here for a video of the finish) With the win, Larson now has 23 victories over the course of his NASCAR Cup Series career.

Following the race, Larson’s No. 5 HendrickCars.com Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 took the post-race trip through the inspection bay. Following post-race inspection, NASCAR declared Larson and his No. 5 team the official winners of the race as the car was deemed legal.

While Larson scored the win, another Playoff contender Ryan Blaney found trouble in post-race inspection. The No. 12 Team Penske Ford Mustang was found to be in violation of section 14.11.3.5, which pertains to the shocks on the car.

Per a statement from NASCAR, it was the left front shock on the No. 12 car that didn’t conform to the rulebook. As a result, Blaney, who finished sixth, will now be credited with a last-place finish.

No other issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means once the Blaney disqualification is accounted for, all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.

Bell officially secured the runner-up finish ahead of Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Ross Chastain.
