As the ARCA Menards Series heads to the great racing state of Indiana, and the high banks of Salem Speedway for the Atlas 200, Conner Popplewell, a local and regular at the track is looking to make a good first impression.
The Jeffersonville, IN native, is teaming up with MAN Motorsports to drive the No. 95 car at the high-banked half-mile according to a post on the Salem Speedway’s Facebook page. Joining the effort to help the young driver is veteran ARCA Spotter Daryl Hadley, who has helped Popplewell put this opportunity together.
“I am truly blessed with the opportunity I have to make my ARCA Menards Series debut at Salem Speedway,” said the 19-year-old. “Obviously I love racing at Salem, and now I get to make the jump up to race with ARCA at Salem, this is a dream come true,” he added.

Popplewell is a regular at the track running in the Diesel Boys GAS Series, a version of street stocks for Salem Speedway. He’s coming off a sixth-place finish in his last race at the speedway and sits second in GAS points as of September 3rd with three wins in the series. He’ll be going for the title for the GAS series the same weekend as the Atlas 200.
“I can’t thank everyone enough who has helped get me this ride, my family, who has always supported my racing, our great sponsors like Red Ball Recycling, T & C Contracting, and GreenTree Real Estate Services, and everyone who has worked on my racecars. It’s going to be tough competing against those teams in that series, but I’m looking forward to the challenge,” he added.
You can catch the ARCA Menards Series debut for Conner Popplewell the No. 95 in the Atlas 200 live on FS2 and FloRacing at 7:30 PM ET on Saturday, September 30th.
