To say that Carson Hocevar has impressed in his limited NASCAR Cup Series starts in 2023 would be an understatement. Had it not been for a loose wheel on the final run of the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the 20-year-old likely would have finished top-five or at the very least top-10 in the No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB ride.

The run for Hocevar, which resulted in an 11th-place finish, was the best finish for the No. 42 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB team this season, and it’s the best finish for the No. 42 since Ty Dillon finished 10th at the Bristol Dirt Race in April of last year.

Following his best run to date in the NASCAR Cup Series, Hocevar will return for two more races in the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB.

On Sunday evening, the organization posted a video to social media announcing that Hocevar will return to the car at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend and Talladega Superspeedway the week after.

Hocevar has made four NASCAR Cup Series starts this season, three for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB. In all four starts, Hocevar has been a threat inside the top-20 throughout the events, and he has scored top-20 finishes in all three of his starts at LEGACY MOTOR CLUB.

The native of Portage, Michigan is entrenched in a battle for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship. Hocevar, who has collected three victories in the Truck Series this year, sits third in the Playoff Grid. There are two races remaining before the series finalizes the four drivers that will compete for a championship at Phoenix Raceway.
