Frankie Muniz’s recent stretch of bad luck continued with a cut tire, and hard impact into the outside wall at Kansas Speedway.

It was a hectic day on Friday at Kansas Speedway for several ARCA Menards Series drivers as several of them hit the wall before the race crossed lap 50. ARCA Menards Series rookie Frankie Muniz was one of the unfortunate drivers who ended up into the outside wall, and out of the race.

Muniz was running in the top 10 and coming to the scheduled race break at Lap 50. Coming out of turn four, the No. 30 Rette Jones Racing Ford Mustang blew a right front tire and slammed the outside wall hard.

Here is a video of the incident, as it happened live, that ended the day for Muniz:

And here are some additional looks at the crash:

The Scottsdale native rode the wall all the way through the tri-oval and down into turn one. Muniz was able to get out of the car under his own power and made his way to the infield care center.

After he was evaluated and released from the infield care center, Muniz lamented his recent string of bad luck, which has mired what was once a promising rookie campaign for the Rette Jones Racing driver.

“It’s been really tough the last seven or so races that we’ve had, we’ve just had really, really bad luck,” Muniz explained. “I used to come to the track and we were exceeding expectations. It was a really positive beginning to the season, I felt like I was learning a lot. And really, minus Michigan, since Pocono, we’ve had disaster after disaster happen. A lot of it has been out of my hands, unfortunately.”

It continues a string of bad luck continues for the driver who was third in points going into the race. Several races of electrical or mechanical issues and the last race’s wreck with Sean Hingorani and Sean Corr left him 150 points back of the lead.
