Trevor Bayne and Austin Hill sustained major damage in an 11-car accident late in the race that sent the field to NASCAR Overtime.

After leading a significant portion of Friday’s Wawa 250, Trevor Bayne has sustained major damage to his No. 19 He Gets Us Toyota GR Supra, after contact on a late-race restart.

The accident started when Austin Hill, driving the No. 21 for Richard Childress Racing, made a move to the outside on the restart, which moved Bayne with him, sending the Joe Gibbs Racing entry into the outside wall – which eventually led to an 11-car melee.

Blaine Perkins, JJ Yeley, Sam Mayer, Daniel Hemric, Chandler Smith, Sammy Smith, Trevor Bayne, John HUnter Nemechek, Austin Hill, Kaz Grala, and Jeffrey Earnhardt all managed to collect some damage at some point throughout the wreck.

However, Justin Allgaier and Parker Kligerman were able to scoot away from the accident, giving them an advantage heading into the race’s closing laps.
