On Wednesday afternoon, Ryan Sieg and RSS Racing announced that they have found a new primary sponsorship partner for the remainder of the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season — SciAps.

Sieg made the announcement in a post on X.

The company, which has served as the longtime primary sponsor for part-time racer CJ McLaughlin, will kick off its new partnership with Sieg beginning with this weekend’s Wawa 250 Presented by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway.

The sponsorship announcement is a big deal for RSS Racing, as it had fallen into sponsorship issues in the last few weeks.

For the last several years, Ryan Sieg and the No. 39 RSS Racing team have had secure primary sponsorship funding from CMR Construction & Roofing, and the primary sponsorship agreement for this season was again announced as a full-season commitment. However, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the CMR logos were noticeably absent on what was a completely blank No. 39 Ford Mustang.

A representative at the track explained to TobyChristie.com that CMR Roofing would not be on the car for Indianapolis, but the status of the sponsor going forward was still to be determined.

The car was again absent of sponsorship this past weekend at Watkins Glen International as the No. 39 Ford sported an all-black paint scheme.

Sieg, 36, can now race stress-free for the remainder of the season with sponsorship in place as he continues to attempt to lock himself into the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs. The Georgia native currently sits 18th in the championship standings, but Daytona is a massive opportunity for the racer to break through.

The driver, who has made 324 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts over the course of his career, has yet to score a win, but he has had many close-misses over the last handful of seasons. If Sieg can find a little luck, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him with Friday night at Daytona International Speedway.
