Tanner Gray is out of Saturday’s CRC Brakleen 150, after a major impact at the exit of the first corner.

After being the second-quickest truck in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice session from Pocono Raceway, Tanner Gray’s afternoon will meet its conclusion, just four laps into Saturday’s CRC Brakleen 150.

Gray, who entered the penultimate event of the regular season only 24 points below the cutline, was running inside the top-15, when his No. 15 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro broke loose underneath teammate Kaz Grala.

The 24-year-old driver then spun around at the exit of the first corner, spinning down to the inside wall on the backstretch, where he hit with significant force, causing incredible damage to his Mobil 1-sponsored entry.

The damage to the TRICON Garage entry was too much to continue in the event, which will relegate the older of the Gray brothers to a finish of last place, 36th, in the CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway.

Tyler Ankrum, who nabbed a bit of damage from the incident, was able to easily continue in the event, after coming to pit road and making some minor repairs to his No. 16 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Hattori Racing Enterprises.

Gray has since been checked and released from the infield care center.
