Austin Dillon, a multi-time NASCAR National Series champion currently competing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, will make his debut in the Camping World SRX Series this Summer at Eldora Speedway.

Dillon, the grandson of legendary NASCAR team owner Richard Childress, will be the latest driver from the highest rank of NASCAR to compete in the Superstar Racing Experience, joining Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Daniel Suarez, and teammate Kyle Busch.

A native of Welcome, North Carolina, Dillon is a previous winner at Eldora Speedway, winning the inaugural MudSummer Classic for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series back in 2013.

“I love dirt racing. It’s so much fun, and Eldora Speedway has been such a key place for my dirt racing career over the years,” said Dillon. “I’m thrilled to be able to join SRX racing at a track that has a lot of history and means so much to me personally. I can’t wait to make more memories at Eldora Speedway and battle alongside some of the most accomplished names in motorsports.”

The 33-year-old driver has developed a stacked resume, especially when it comes to crown jewel events, winning the 2017 Coca-Cola 600, and following that up with a victory in the Daytona 500 one season later.

Those victories, coupled with a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series title from 2011 and NASCAR Xfinity Series title from 2013, make Dillon the perfect candidate for the Superstar Racing Experience.

“We are very happy to announce that Austin Dillion will be joining us at Eldora Speedway. Eldora is not new to Austin – it’s a place where he’s found success and had some great career moments,” said Don Hawk, SRX Chief Executive Officer. “It’s my belief that Austin can jump in at Eldora against the best in the business and be right in the hunt from the drop of the green flag.”

This season, the Superstar Racing Experience will have all six of its event broadcasted on ESPN, as part of the network’s revamping of “Thursday Night Thunder”. The event at Eldora will be broadcast on Thursday, August 10th at 9:00 PM ET.
