Austin Dillon and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. have both severely damaged their vehicles, after a crash at the hands of Austin Cindric.

What was a promising run for Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and JTG Daugherty Racing has come to an end in the closing stages of Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway.

The accident started with contact between Austin Cindric and Austin Dillon at the entrance of turn one, which turned the Richard Childress Racing up towards the outside wall, and into the driver’s side of Stenhouse.

Cindric, who was looking to rebound after losing track position early in the event, looked to have misjudged the space behind the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro, clipping the right rear of the Get Bioethanol-sponsored entry.

The damage to the vehicles for both Dillon and Stenhouse sustained too much damage for them to complete the race’s final 20 laps, which will likely relegate both drivers to finishes outside of the top-30.
