It truly wouldn’t be a week in the NASCAR National Series without a Ryan Ellis sponsorship announcement. The third-generation race car driver was at it again on Monday, as he and Alpha Prime Racing announced a new primary sponsorship from Flexcar for this weekend’s Alsco Uniforms 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Ellis will carry the company’s bold blue, teal, and black colors on his No. 43 Alpha Prime Racing NASCAR Xfinity Series Chevrolet Camaro.

Flexcar, which was established in 2021, is a unique service, where Charlotte-area residents can choose their car on the Flexcar website or mobile app, specify where they’d like to pick up the car, and drive the car for as long as they’d like. Ellis, who has always cared deeply about innovations in the world of cars, loves the partnership with Flexcar.

“For my whole life I’ve been passionate about innovations in the car industry, and I was fascinated to learn about Flexcar’s approach to letting people get all the benefits of having a car, without all the work that comes with owning or taking care of a car,” said Ellis. “I look forward to seeing Flexcar continue to grow in Charlotte, and am honored to represent them at this year’s Alsco Uniforms 300.”

Ellis, who has ground it out for years in hopes of running a full-time, or near full-time schedule in any of the NASCAR National Series has run the opening 11 races for the Alpha Prime Racing team in 2023.

At Talladega Superspeedway, three races ago, Ellis scored his career-best finish of 11th.

The 33-year-old sits 25th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings, and while he was only originally slated for 24 races for Alpha Prime Racing in 2023, there is a chance he runs more. The continued sponsorship announcements further support that possibility.

The most races Ellis ran in a season, prior to 2023, was a 16-race campaign in the NASCAR Xfinity Series back in 2016.
