Denny Hamlin chose to dump JJ Yeley on Lap 45 of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway.

Perhaps it was the frustration of an early pit road speeding penalty mixed with the frustration of JJ Yeley clearing himself heading into Turn 1, but Denny Hamlin lost his cool on lap 45 of Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway. And unfortunately for Yeley, the driver of the Rick Ware Racing No. 15 car, he paid the price.

After Yeley worked his car up in front of Hamlin’s No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry, Hamlin drove through the rear of Yeley’s No. 15 car, which sent Yeley backing into the outside wall.

Here is a video of the incident between Hamlin and Yeley:

Yeley’s team was able to make repairs in the allotted time, and Yeley returned to the race. Will Yeley potentially exact some revenge at some point?
