Kyle Larson officially picked up his first win of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season in Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway.

Larson’s race-winning No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro passed post-race inspection. As a result, NASCAR declared Larson and his team the official winners of the race.

There were no issues in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.

NASCAR will take William Byron’s No. 24 car and Alex Bowman’s No. 48 car back to the NASCAR R&D Center for further evaluation.

The 30-year-old Larson now has a total of 20 victories over the course of his NASCAR Cup Series career. Sunday’s triumph marked the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion’s second win at the 0.75-mile oval in Virginia.

Larson led a total of 93 laps on the day, including the final 25 circuits.

Josh Berry, who was piloting the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports entry in place of Chase Elliott (leg), scored his career-best finish with a runner-up effort.

Ross Chastain finished third, Christopher Bell was fourth and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top-five finishers in the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway.
