Front row starter Scott Dixon led the final NTT IndyCar Series practice session ahead of Sunday’s PPG 375 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda went around the 1.44 mile oval at an average speed of 222.378 mph. 2022 Texas winner Josef Newgarden was second fastest at 221.792 mph and Takuma Sato was third fastest at 220.992 mph.

Polesitter Felix Rosenqvist was eighth fastest at 220.115 mph.

The session was composed of three parts. The 28-car field ran around the high groove of the track in two groups of 14 cars each. Each 14-car group practiced for 10 minutes and had only one incident when Conor Daly spun coming off of Turn 4.

Daly’s spin resulted in no contact with another car despite Benjamin Pedersen coming close to hitting the No. 20 Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet.

The PPG 375 broadcast starts at noon ET Sunday on NBC with the green flag waving 10 minutes later.
