You always remember your first, and for Chandler Smith his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory will forever be remembered as Saturday’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway.

Smith’s race-winning No. 16 Kaulig Racing Quick Tie Products Chevrolet Camaro passed post-race tech. As a result, NASCAR declared Smith and his team the official winners of Saturday’s race.

The Talking Rock, Georgia native becomes the first driver born after January 1, 2000 to score a win in multiple NASCAR National Series divisions per TobyChristie.com’s Joseph Srigley.

Smith scored five wins in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series between 2021 and 2022 before moving to full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series competition in 2023. Smith will now look to score his first NASCAR Cup Series win on Sunday at Richmond.

There were no issues in post-race technical inspection, which means all results and standings following Saturday’s race are now considered official.

John Hunter Nemechek officially is scored as the runner-up finisher to Smith, while Josh Berry, Kaz Grala and Cole Custer rounded out the top-five finishers.
