Layne Riggs crash Tanner Gray Atlanta 2023 TRICON Garage
Layne Riggs and TRICON Garage teammate Tanner Gray crashed on lap 24 of Saturday’s Truck Series race at Atlanta.

That was a less-than-ideal way for Layne Riggs’ debut race to go with the TRICON Garage team, as the 2022 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series National Champion, collided with his teammate Tanner Gray.

The No. 1 and No. 15 entries crashed on the frontstretch on Lap 24 of Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Fr8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Here is a video of the incident:

While the incident was not what the team had in mind when they drew up it gameplan for the day, both drivers were able to return to the race without losing a lap. Will they be competitive the ret of the way? That remains to be seen.
