Alex Labbé will return to the high banks of Daytona International Speedway to contest the NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener in a third entry for DGM Racing, the organization announced on Thursday.

Labbé, whose relationship with Mario Gosselin and DGM Racing dates back to the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, will pilot the No. 36 Chevrolet Camaro in the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300 at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

A native of St. Albert, Quebec, Labbé will serve as a teammate to Josh Williams and Josh Bilicki for the season-opening event at Daytona. Williams is scheduled to compete full-time in the No. 92, while Bilicki has been tapped for a partial schedule in the No. 91.

In 138 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series – all with DGM Racing – Labbé has put together a single top-five finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL in 2020, as well as 13 top-10 finishes, one of which came last August at Daytona.

Last season, Josh Bilicki was able to record a top-10 result in the season-opener from Daytona International Speedway, while piloting the No. 36 Chevrolet Camaro.

DGM Racing has yet to release any additional details surrounding Alex Labbé’s 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series plans with the organization, or the capacity in which the No. 36 Chevrolet Camaro will return to the series this year.
