Corey LaJoie and the No. 7 Spire Motorsports team will have a brand new partnership in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series Busch Light Clash exhibition event at the LA Memorial Coliseum. ‘Animal Control,’ a new comedy show from FOX, will serve as the primary sponsor for the team in the event.

FOX, which will be providing television coverage of the Busch Light Clash, sees the partnership with LaJoie and the No. 7 team as a unique way to get its new television program in front of its audience.

“We are proud to partner with Spire Motorsports and sponsor Corey LaJoie’s car during the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum on Sunday,” said Darren Schillace, President, Marketing, of FOX Entertainment. “This is one of NASCAR’s most thrilling and innovative events, and with FOX Sports set to once again deliver an immersive telecast for fans, we have a premium opportunity to organically reach millions of viewers to promote our new, high-profile comedy, ‘Animal Control.’”

For those curious about ‘Animal Control,’ the show premiers on FOX on February 6th at 9 PM ET. The show is a new workplace series that follows a group of local Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not.

The show will feature Joel McHale, an Emmy Award nominee, as the marquee star.

LaJoie and the No. 7 Spire Motorsports team had a rough outing in the Busch Light Clash a season ago, but through the course of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, LaJoie and the team began to really hit their stride.

The racer scored his first-career NASCAR Cup Series top-five finish in the spring race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and he followed that result up with a near-win at Atlanta in the fall.

Heading into the 2023 season, LaJoie feels ready to impress and it all begins with the Clash.

“I’m ready to kick off this season with FOX at the LA Coliseum,” said LaJoie. “We’re going into this with a fresh mindset after learning a lot last year. Like Frank with animals, sometimes I feel like I can understand race cars better than I can people and that’s why I’m excited to have FOX’s new show ‘Animal Control’ on my Chevrolet Camaro this weekend.”

LaJoie will look to advance his way through the Heat Races into the Main Event for the 2023 Busch Light Clash at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Sunday, February 5th.
