Joe Graf Jr. and SS Green Light Racing have elected to part ways ahead of the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the organization announced via a social media video on Friday.
In the video, Bobby Dotter – owner of SS Green Light Racing – confirmed the changes to the organization for the upcoming season, by thanking Graf and his family for their time with the organization.

“As we close out another season, it’s time for change here,” said Dotter. “We’ve had three great years with Joe Graf Jr. and his family, and I can’t say enough for him, how happy I was to work with him, and how grateful I am for everything they’ve done for us. But, it’s time for some new change, so we’ll be looking at some different drivers next year.”
Over the course of the last three seasons, Graf has made a total of 90 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series – 86 of which have come in an entry for SS Green Light Racing. In that time, the Mahwah, New Jersey-native has scored two top-10 results, including a career-best 8th at Talladega Superspeedway in April 2022.
The 24-year-old driver has finished inside the top 30 in NASCAR Xfinity Series driver points for the last three seasons, including a career-high 22nd-place result in 2020, when running all 33 races on the schedule.
In 2022, SS Green Light Racing was able to secure the organization’s first victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, with Cole Custer winning the second event of the season at Auto Club Speedway.
Other drivers for the organization in 2022 included: Hailie Deegan, David Starr, Chase Briscoe, Brett Moffitt, Spencer Pumpelly, Andy Lally, and Brandon Brown, amongst others.
As of the time of Dotter’s confirmation, neither SS Green Light Racing nor Joe Graf Jr. have announced details regarding their plans for the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
