Conor Daly, who completes full-time in the NTT IndyCar Series for Ed Carpenter Racing, will embark on some extracurricular activities over the off-season, announcing on Thursday he’s make his NASCAR Cup Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL.

The 30-year-old will get behind the wheel of the No. 50 Chevrolet Camaro for The Money Team Racing in the Bank of America ROVAL 500, with sponsorship from full-season IndyCar partner, BitNile.

The Money Team (TMT) Racing is one of the NASCAR Cup Series’ unchartered teams, meaning that Daly will have to qualify his way into the event, should more than 40 cars enter the series’ annual event at Charlotte’s ROVAL.

TMT Racing, a brand-new organization in the NASCAR Cup Series this season, has competed in three races this season including the Daytona 500, having fielded the No. 50 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaz Grala.

In three starts, the organization has recorded finishes of 23rd, 25th, and 26th.

Daly’s Cup Series debut won’t be his first rodeo in NASCAR, as the Noblesville, Indiana-native has made a pair of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts, as well as a start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, netting a best finish of 18th in 2020.
