Playoff hopeful Ryan Blaney was one of the six drivers involved in a crash at the front of the field on lap 30 of Sunday’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona.

Oh my goodness, that is not what Ryan Blaney needed.

On lap 30 of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway, Denny Hamlin gave a bump draft to Erik Jones, which made hamlin’s car loose. Blaney had nowhere to go and contacted Hamlin.

The contact sent Hamlin skidding to the inside of the track, while Blaney went straight into the outside wall.

Here is video of the potential Playoff changing incident:

In all, there were six cars involved in the incident. In addition to Blaney, Hamlin and Jones, Christopher Bell, Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski were also in the accident.

Blaney’s team were able to make repairs to get him back on track, but he will more than likely have to hope that we don’t get a new winner in Sunday’s race, or he could be outside the Playoffs.
